"Fatal error schema update failed" any ideas... Expand / Collapse

When attempting to go to "http://localhost:6969/ayanovawbi/login.aspx" I get "no we site is configured at this address." But if I use the IP address of the server from the server i get:

WBI was unable to start, most likely this is due to a configuration error.
Double check your settings in the web.config file as outlined in the documentation.
The error message is:

*** FATAL ERROR SCHEMA UPDATE FAILED *** CONTACT TECHNICAL SUPPORT IMMEDIATELY unsuccessful metadata update object INDEX is in use


I followed the steps in the manual exactly. I am running a XP Pro machine with .NET 2.50727, AyaNova 3.2.7.0, IIS 5.1, and Firebird 1.5. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi

Before running WBI 3.3.0, you must have AyaNova upgraded to 3.3.0 successfully. This is a requirement.

You need to perform the following:

  1. Shut down WBI and IIS
  2. Make sure all users are out of the AyaNova program
  3. Make sure all AyaNova related programs are shut down (Generator, QBI, etc)
  4. Restore your AyaNova database file from backup.
  5. Perform the steps to update AyaNova to 3.3.0 as per http://forum.ayanova.com/Forum96-1.aspx
  6. Once you have successfully updated to 3.3.0 and have logged in only as the AyaNova Administrator so that the database schema is updated successfully, then perform the steps to install and configure WBI 3.3.0
