It would be really nice if the documents were BLOB'd into SQL. This would provide the centralized location as well as the ability to access the documents from the WBI.

Good suggestion Chris, proposed the same some time ago.
Right now I instructed the users to put a copy on a central server and attach the document from there.
I think using BLOB's is OK as long as the documents have a limited size.
