If you get a message installing AyaNova 4... Expand / Collapse

If you get an error installing AyaNova 4, read the error message and recheck yoru steps.

For example, if you are installing AyaNova 4 for the first time and you do want it for network configuration, and instead of following the installation steps for network configuration, you instead jump the gun and select AyaNova - network computer installation you will get the following error similar to the screenshot below:

An error occurred while trying to read the source file: The source file "......\config.txt" does not exist.

This is because that selection is for networked computers - and you have not completed the steps leading up to that - where the network AyaNova database is installed and configured, and than than the config.txt file used for networked installation on other networked computers is placed in a shared network location along with the installation file for all networked computers to run and automatically be pointed to the correct networked AyaNova database.

If you want to set up AyaNova for network use, review the steps in the AyaNova Help file for yoru particular network database server (AyaNova Firebird Server network configuration, AyaNova SQL Express network configuration or AyaNova SQL Server network configuration).

Once you have read through the instructions, than follow them.

If you disregard a step, than you will have an issue.
