How do I determine how many licenses I require?

Licenses are required for technicians only. You can enter an unlimited number of users in the program, but only users that are set as technicians can be chosen from as the person who did the work on the work order.   Only users set as technicians can be scheduled from the schedule screen.  Otherwise there is no license required for regular users who just use the program.

When you purchase a new license or additional licenses, we email you an activation key code that contains the total number of licenses you have purchased overall. 

You enter in all your users (both technician and non-technician) that will be using AyaNova dispatch software or tracked in it. On the user entry screen there is a checkbox that you use to indicate that user is a technician.

There is another checkbox that affects the available licenses and it is used to indicate if a technician is ACTIVE.

When you click that checkbox, you are taking a license out of the "pool" of licenses contained in your activation key code and indicating that particular user should be considered a technician which means their name will then appear in the lists of technicians available when creating a work order or scheduling technicians. You can check the ACTIVE box for as many users as you have purchased technicians licenses for.

When you reach the maximum, the program will not allow any more users to be checked as ACTIVE technicians. Users not checked as ACTIVE technicians can use all parts of the program as well without a license, they just don't appear as a technician in any list box where you need to select a technician such as the labor part of the work order screens etc.

 If you uncheck the ACTIVE  box making a technician in-active you free up their license and it goes back into the pool for use with another technician.  In this way you can temporarily or permanently free up a technician license for situations like someone leaving the company and a replacement coming on or for a temporary relief technician while another is on holidays.

Inactive technicians do not appear on lists of technicians for scheduling or creating NEW work orders, however they will still appear on the old work orders that they created when they were active so all their historical data is still kept in the database, but their license is freed up. 

This way you don't need to resort to deleting a technician or renaming them to free up a license, you simply uncheck the box and your ready to enter your new replacement technician without affecting any data that applies to the de-activated technician.

For companies that employ sub-contractors, you could determine a time period that jobs are scheduled for. Than determine the number of contractors employed in this time - and that would be the number of licenses to purchase. Or you could purchase licenses based on the different types of jobs. For example if you were a general contractor for building homes, you would purchase as many licenses as there are different jobs - one license to schedule and track  electricians, one license to schedule and track plumbers, one license to schedule general carpenters, one license to schedule specialized carpenters, etc etc.

 

I want to purchase additional licenses - what do I do?

Have a copy of your most recent license key available then go to Pricing and purchase and follow the instructions,  paste the license key where indicated on the purchase page.

A replacement license key will be sent to you shortly, that will include your original number of licenses, plus the new licenses just purchased with instructions to enter it into AyaNova dispatch software.

 

 

I want to obtain another copy of my invoice - what do I do?

How do I get a demo copy of AyaNova?

You can download a full-featured trial version of AyaNova from our Download web page. Information on system requirements, downloading, installing and configuring are all found on the Download web page. 

 

How can I delete the sample data that is in the trial version?

When you enter your license key that is emailed to you when you purchase AyaNova licenses, you will then have the ability to delete the sample data.

A new button is exposed on the database utilities menu that allows you to erase the sample data. It will erase all data entered in the program up to that point.

 

When I purchase AyaNova licenses, how can the trial data I already entered be transferred to the licensed database?

When you purchase AyaNova licenses, you are sent a keycode and instructions on how to enter it into the same trial AyaNova that you have already installed and have been using while in trial mode.

When you enter your license key that is emailed to you when you purchase AyaNova licenses, you will then have the ability to delete or keep any data entered while in trial mode.

If you wish to keep the data you have already entered, just select NO when it asks if you wish to delete the sample data.

 

Can I log in as another user other than "manager" while testing the trial AyaNova?

To log in as another trial user in addition to the user "manager", enter in the trial users first name in lower case, and then their name again as the password.

Although you can not edit the sample users in the trial, you can view the sample users name by opening the Users & Rights screen (menu Options -> Edit -> Users & Rights ) and drop down the list of users.

For example: You want to test logging in as the user Herb Arlans who is a member of the security group "Sales Support"

The username would be "herb" (without the quotation marks and ensure is in lowercase)

The password would be "herb" (without the quotation marks and ensure is in lowercase)

In this way you can test setting security access rights to different areas of AyaNova as you may wish to restrict access for certain groups in your business. You may wish to have the "Sales Support" group view work orders, but be unable to edit them, and also to not add additional parts to the lists. Security groups can be set up to your individual choosing.

I've obtained an AyaNova keycode from a website, how do I enter it?

We will occasionally receive a question sent to us on how to enter a AyaNova key code illegally obtained off a hack or crack website.

Can you believe we actually get this question sent to us? Makes us wonder too.

Any key code not purchased from us will not work with AyaNova. AyaNova may allow you to enter, but at a later time the program detects an illegal key and shuts down all functionality.

The trial version downloadable from our website will give you full functionality without entering an illegal keycode.

Don't waste your time downloading and installing software only to apply a key code that removes all functionality.

The download page says that the trial version is identical to the paid for version in nearly every way, is that true?

Yes!   

There are no differences between the paid for version and the trial version other than one: You can't change the technician names in the trial version and must use the sample ones provided.

Everything else is the same, the reports are the same, the technical support provided is the same, everything.

If you find AyaNova work order and dispatch software is a good match for your needs, purchasing a license key will unlock the already installed trial version turning it into a paid for version.  

That's how easy it is - there is nothing else to download when purchased.

Note that the Erase All data button is not exposed in the trial version, however we can send an empty database to anyone who requires it.  

The Erase All data button has only been removed in a trial version because previously when we included it in the trial, people would immediately erase all the sample data and then found it extremely difficult to try out all the features in the program.

You can still erase / add your own data through the features in the program and if, after evaluating it for some time you would like to try it with a clean slate we can send you an empty database (still with sample tech names provided by us).

The reason we offer such a uniquely full version of our software is simple: we only want people to purchase it after they have given it a full work out with their own real world data.  

That way you know it will work for you without spending any money up front.

 

Is Addressinator! a program associated with AyaNova?

No, Addressinator! is an address book program that is also developed by Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc. and is not an optional add-on for AyaNova dispatch and work order software.

Can someone phone me to answer my questions?
