I am going through and configuring our install of AyaNova and have set most of the global settings. Some settings will not save. The settings I am trying to change are the Puchase Order Start Number, Quotes start number and Service Workorders Start Number. I need to set these beyand the system we currently use. I enter a value and the next time I log in, they are gone. I have logged in with the manager account and my account which is in the admin group and I get the same results. I looked through the manual and I can not seem to find a reason for this...

Thanks!

Hi

Thank you for contacting us about this.

Do note that this is not an issue - but the way AyaNova is designed. I will update the AyaNova v3 Manual advising of this.

To save and set new starting number:

  1. Log in as the AyaNova Administrator
  2. Select Global Settings
  3. Edit the starting number for workorders, quotes and purchase orders
  4. Select the Save button on the menu bar for Global Settings
  5. Without exiting out of the AyaNova v3 program, perform the next three steps.
  6. Create and save a new workorder - this workorder will now take the number entered as the starting number for workorders (and subsequent workorders will continue)
  7. Create and save a new quote - this quote will now take the number entered as the starting number for quotes
  8. Create and save a new purchase order (you do  not have to set the Ordered status)- this purchase order will now take the number entered as the starting number for quotes

When editing starting number for workorders, quotes, pm’s or inventory adjustments, do be aware that the value displayed in the Global Settings screen is the highest existing number for that table.

Even if you edit the Global Settings starting number, until you make a new workorder, pm, quote etc, the highest existing number is still the same highest number as it was previously in the record.

So if you edit the starting number – you need to make at minimum one new workorder or new quote, etc to actually “set” the new starting number as the highest existing number.
