Are part numbers unique or is more than one Item able to have the same part number.
I would prefer if they were unique as searching through the parts list to make sure they are not already in the system is tedious. It seems silly to check each part particularly when there is the option to Save and Add another part.
Even if it notified the user that a part with the same part number is already in the system before adding the new one would be better than nothing.

| Hi Clark No - part numbers do not have to be unique in AyaNova 3. Many AyaNova users require parts to have the same part number, but not the same part name I will place on the to do list for development to look into adding that the AyaNova program notifies you with a message if the part number is duplicated when you click on Save or Save & Exit. - Joyce

| Hi again The latest version of AyaNova v3.3.3.0 will now warn you when entering if the part number you are entering is a duplicate of an existing. AyaNova v3.3.3.0 will not prevent you from entering duplicates, but it will warn you. Refer to the Known Issues & Updates section of this forum for steps to update to the latest version of AyaNova. - Joyce
