As we have not fully setup the Inventory tracking in Ayanova yet we do not have all serial numbers entered. So question 1, is there any way to invoice serialized Peachtree items without doing an inventory adjustment for each one?

After doing an inventory adjustment and entering a serial number, when attempting to invoice a serialized Peachtree item PTI continues to error out saying serial number is missing. So question 2, why can't I invoice a serialized Peachtree item even when the serial number is available and selected in the WO?

Hi Chris

I am able to reproduce getting the following error if I attempt to invoice using PTI an AyaNova serialized part in a workorder ready for invoicing linked to a Peachtree serialized part that has that exact same serialized number available.

Invoicing completed with some errors:

Invoice: Invoicing faileddue to the following error:
An error occurred while importing! This happened for Field Name: Serial Number
***********

What appears to be occurring is that PTI is not able to select the serial number in PeachTree that matches that of the serialized part in AyaNova.

PTI at this time does not have the ability to invoice out serialized PeachTree parts. If the Peachtree part is serialized, this will require manual entry of the invoice in PeachTree.

I have advised development of this to have it addressed in the next PTI update. I will post back to this topic when it is made available

Thanks. Can we add this to the wish list to have the ability to select the proper Serial number available in Peach while doing a "Fix problems" in PTI?

PTI 3.6.1 released today that addresses the issue of invoicing out serialized Peachtree parts. See the latest PTI Help file for details on use http://www.ayanova.com/PTIwebhelp/parts_invoicing.htm 

  1. Uninstall your existing PTI
  2. Download the 3.6.1 PTI installation from http://www.ayanova.com/ptidownload.htm and install
  3. Refer to the PTI Manual edited section on invoicing parts http://www.ayanova.com/PTIwebHELP/parts_invoicing.htm
