| Hi We haven't heard of this issue from any other QBI users, nor encountered it ourselves. Do the following: 1. What precise version of QuickBooks is in use? - Pro, Premier, etc 2. What country of QuickBooks is in use? US, Canadian or UK 3. What service patch for the QuickBooks 2008 is applied? Press keyboard keys CTRL - 1 in QuickBooks to bring up the QuickBooks info, and provide the full text stating the QuickBooks version and year and service patch that it shows. 4. Reboot this computer, log back in, and try again. Does the error occur still? 5. Is this a single license QuickBooks or network? 6. If network, does the error occur when logged into QuickBooks as the QuickBooks Admin? 7. What security group do you log into QBI as - an AyaNova user with full Read/Write/Delete rights to everything or ? Try logging into QBI as the AyaNova Administrator, does the error continue to occur? 8. In QuickBooks, is any of your Clients using special characters in any of the text fields like äöü or é ? 9. In AyaNova, is any of your Clients using special characters in any of the text fields like äöü or é ? 10. Is your AyaNovaQBI.exe.config an exact replica of the AyaNova.exe.config? 11. You should run a Verify and a Rebuild data on your QuickBooks company data file, as when QBI is starting up, it "gets" the QuickBooks data so that it can be displayed in QBI, and it is failing at the point of getting the QuickBooks Customers, which may indicate one or more corrupted customer records - Joyce
