Good Day,

I can print a .pdf file from almost any grid except the calendar, which only allows me to print to my default printer. I would like to know what I can do to print a .pdf file of the calendar. Any suggestions? Thanks

McDarnit (Since it is St. Patrick's day, I may get lucky and there will be a solution)

Thank you,
McDarnit

Hi McDarnit

AyaNova CE 1.9.4.4 is a quite old version of AyaNova.

AyaNova 4.1 is the latest version of AyaNova, and includes many new features, including a much enhanced Schedule screen. I encourage you to check out the AyaNova 4 Help file section How is AyaNova 4 Different from AyaNova CE? for an overview of many of the new features.

With the Schedule screen in AyaNova CE 1.9.4.4, the Print feature bring up the Windows Print dialogue box where you can select any printer you presently have installed as a Windows printer. If you do not have Adobe PDF as a printer set up, than it is not an option.

That may be why you do not have the option of selecting PDF when printing from your AyaNova CE 1.9.4.4 Schedule screen.

Whereas AyaNova 4's Schedule screen gives you many different options for printing - you can print a graphical print out of your Schedule to an image file or to a PDF file or directly to your printer. As well, you can also print reports directly from the Schedule screen such as select the scheduled items and print dispatch reports for them.  Also see the video Print graphically or print reports directly from the Schedule screen from the Videos web page http://www.ayanova.com/videos.htm

I have version 3.4.0. I have .pdf set up on my computer and utilize it all the time in AyaNova. On the schedule screen, I have no options but to send it to the default printer.

Thank you,
McDarnit

Hi

You posted this topic in the AyaNova CE 1.9.4.4 section of the forum, therefore I thought you were referring to that old version.

Thank you for providing the information on what version you have.

That is correct - AyaNova 3.4 has older Schedule screen components and its only printing feature of a graphical printout does not have the ability to print other than the default printer.

Whereas AyaNova 4 does have the ability to print to PDF from the Schedule screen - as well as many more features.

As stated above, I encourage you to check out AyaNova 4's new features - including you can print a graphical print out of your Schedule to an image file or to a PDF file or directly to your printer. As well, you can also print reports directly from the Schedule screen such as select the scheduled items and print dispatch reports for them.  Also see the video Print graphically or print reports directly from the Schedule screen from the Videos web page http://www.ayanova.com/videos.htm

Also check out the New Features in AyaNova 4 video too via http://www.ayanova.com/videos.htm

For common questions about upgrading from AyaNova 3 to AyaNova 4, please refer to the FAQ & Answers web page that such as cost, trialing it and so on.
