I have just completed the "Installation of AyaNova using network Firebird data server".  When I try to launch the application, I get the following error:

AyaNova was unable to start

Depending on how early in startup the problem occurred,
a detailed log of the problem with suggestions *may* have
been saved to the file AyaLog.txt
located at: file:\C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova 3

Error details:
Unhandled Exception:
Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException
Inner exception: I/O error for file CreateFile (open) "AYANOVA"
Error while trying to open file

When I click abort, I get the following error:

AyaNova.exe-Common Language Runtime Debugging Services

Application has generated an exception that could not be handled

Process id=0xc4 (196), Thread=0xba8 (2984).

Click OK to terminate the application.
Click CANCEL to degug the application.

When I click OK, the error goes away, but AyaNova v3 does not run.  Below is the AyaLog.txt file:

I search the forum, and found the solution related to running Windows Server 2003 SP (I am) and DEP feature enabled, tried the solution, but no justice. HELP!

Hi

Send to support@ayanova.com directly the following information:

1. Re-confirm internal IP address of computer and provide

2. Name of the computer

3. Exact path location where the AYANOVA.FDB file moved to

4. Copy of the alias.conf file

5. COnfirm Firebird Server is running via Control Panel

6. Reconfirm password by redoing the steps for the Firebird SYSDBA password - confirm what password entered

7. Copy of the AyaNova.exe.config file from the AyaNova program directory

8. Confirm you are getting this error on the computer where AyaNova v3 installed, the AYANOVA.FDB database is located, and the Firebird server is installed to - or are you getting this error from a networked computer?

Will be keeping a look out for this information being sent directly to us.

- Joyce

Issue was that the alias.conf file needed to be edited as per the AyaNova v3 Manual instructions identify the alias name and the path of the AYANOVA.FDB file

example

AYANOVA = C:\Data\AyaNova\AYANOVA.FDB
