When I add a “Rich Text” box to any report existing or new, I get an error saying "AyaNova has encountered an error and needs to close. Any ideas or suggestions?

I am able to recreate that.
To fix, download the following zip file, and extract the file DevExpress.XtraRichTextEdit.v6.3.dllinto all AyaNova program folders
If you are running WBI, also extract into the C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\AyaNovaWBI\bin directory.
