Yes a work order in AyaNova has a “tree” structure andthe entire workorder or any level down the “tree” including the individual items (“branches” and “leaves”)likeservice or partsin a workorder can be deleted at any time up until the workorder is set to service completed status or closed. Quotes and Preventive maintenance type workorders do not have a closed or service completed status so their items can be deleted at any time.
Anything in AyaNovathat is in a grid format (other than the main screen Navigation grids)is deleted by clicking the row selector at the far left side of the grid row to select the row and pressing the delete key on the keyboard.
I see where the confusion is in the first posting and second.
The first posting is about “workorder items”. But your second posting is about the workorder itself.

These rows of records displaying in a navigation pane grid are not directly editable or directly deleteable
To open a service workorder, select that workorder # for that service workorder
Below is a screenshot of part of the service workorder entry screen.
To delete a service workorder - select theDelete button at the top of the service workorder entry screen.
A service workorder could have multiple workorder items.
To delete a workorder item, select the row and select the keyboard Delete button.
