This is due to the original database not having been formated to take advantage of new larger index sizes of Firebird 2
If your AyaNova configuration is for stand-alone use (single computer) do the following:
- Zip up your AYANOVA.FDB database file using WinZip
(if you are upgrading from AyaNova 3, the folder location may be C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova 3
</SPAN>Or if a Windows XP or 2003 computer, this is in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\AyaNovaData folder or if a Vista or Windows 7 computer this is in the C:\ProgramData\AyaNovaData folder)
-
Attach to an email to support@ayanova.com
-
Include the error message you receive in your email (so we know why you are sending the database)
-
Include your AyaNova Administrator username and password
-
We will re-index your database and send it back to you
-
You will delete your existing AYANOVA.FDB and extract the AYANOVA.FDB sent back to you and complete the update steps
If your AyaNova configuration is for network Firebird do the following:
- Perform a backup of your networked FirebirdAyaNova database as per the Backup steps for network Firebird http://www.ayanova.com/AyaNova6webHelp/backup_for_ayanova_network_fir.htm
- Now restore your database as per Situation #1 of http://www.ayanova.com/AyaNova6webHelp/restoring_for_ayanova_network_.htm
-Run AyaNova 6 and complete the upgrade steps
This issue will not occur if your database was originally a 4.x or higher database, or if you have restored your network database from backup at some time previously.
