A few issues/suggestions on Ayanova

There are a few things that would help tremendously if we can get them included into a future version of Ayanova:

-In the Schedule screen, when you combine all scheduled users into one calendar, it would help if the Work Orders would show up in the colour of the user that they are scheduled for.
-In the Schedule screen, when work orders are changed (Status) the colours do not show unless you exit and restart Ayanova - Can you have a refresh option.
-It would be handy to send a direct page to any technician i.e. If you could click on the tech and one of the options would be “Send Page” and you can enter in a new page for them.
-In clients - It would save so much time if you could start typing in a clients name and it would be context sensitive so you could automatically get to that client. It takes too long filtering to find a client when you have a few thousand clients - How about up top where you can enter in the work order, quote or preventive maintenance number - Being able to enter in a client name there would be fantastic.

I’ve listed below details to each of your questions. Do note that these features you have asked for are available in AyaNova.

1. In the Schedule screen, when you combine all scheduled users into one calendar, it would help if the Work Orders would show up in the colour of the user that they are scheduled for.

Workorder items “color” show the Workorder Item status when viewing the Schedule screen. This is the same in any view of the Schedule screen.

If you wish to see what each techs schedule is separately, click on the Separate menu option at the top of the Schedule screen to see each tech separately when viewing the 31 (month) view or the 7 Day view.

2. In the Schedule screen, when work orders are changed (Status) the colours do not show unless you exit and restart Ayanova - Can you have a refresh option.

There is a Refresh button on the menu at the top of the Schedule screen.

Do the following, view the Schedule screen so that you see the exisitng color of a workorder item. Now edit the Workorder Item Status for that workorder item. Return to the Schedule screen. Click on the Refresh button.

You do not need to exit out of AyaNova. Just click the Refresh menu option if a workorder item has changed

[Forum Note: The latest AyaNova version 4 has the ability to auto-refresh approximately every 5 minutes]

That is a great suggestion for a feature. We appreciate allsuggestions. Please place all suggestions for future versions in the Wish List section of this forum for development to review.

When you select New to create a new workorder, you can start typing in the client’s name and it will “jump” to that client in the list.

If you instead are referring to so that you can open up the client entry screen - either select the Client “jump” button where you select the client for a new workorder once that client is selected; or select the Client “jump” button in a workorder where it is selected; or use the Search Database, typing in the clients name and press the Search button which will bring up any AyaNova object where that text is typed in.

The grids are so that you can filter to show specific records to report off of, as well if you want to, you can open the entyr screen directly from there - but if you have a lot of data, use the Search Database or use the “jump” button to open that client’s entry screen. “jump” buttons are throughout the AyaNova program - on the grids, on entry screens etc.
