Database location

I am looking for my database. I can find old databases that I had a few years ago but can not find where the current data is going to. Is there a quick search to find where the current data is being stored so I can check to see if it is being backed up by my auto backup service?

Hi

Start by viewing your ayalog.txt file - the last entry is from the last time you logged into AyaNova.

If not sure, do attach a copy of your ayalog.txt file from the AyaNova program folder C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova (if running version 4 through 7, or if running AyaNova 3 it depends on where you installed the program files too)

How do you view an ayalog.txt?
Harry

Found the ayalog.txt location but am confused on how to interpret the data base location.

Then please attach the ayalog.txt file as requested so that I can view it for you and tell you what I see.

Joyce,
I believe what it is saying is that it should be stored at C:\ProgramData\AyaNovaData\AYANOVA.FDB but I do not have any C:\ProgramData folder that I can find on my C: drive. Could it be hidden somehow?
Harry

Hi again

;DataBase=C:\ProgramData\AyaNovaData\AYANOVA.FDB

Yes it is possible that the folder is hidden, as a default of Windows itself.

Here is a great web page that walks you through how to unhide the folder so you can see what is in there - http://windows7themes.net/how-to-unhide-hidden-files-in-windows-7.html (I had done a search via www.google.com for the text programdata windows hidden
