Very happy to be able to provide here for anyone an example custom report template that when printing, only prints a single line totalling up all labor records and part records and grand total on a single line as per the screenshot below:

Extract
Via your Report Templates grid in AyaNova 7, import the extract report template file
Move to your Service Workorders grid
Drop down the Print menu, hold your SHIFT key and select the SampleTotalsOnSingleLine report template to open if via the report template designer
You will see that the Design is a detailed type report template, with no actual datafields set to show in the Detail bands for the Labor and the Parts as well as the workorder item and workorder header.
These Detail bands are required to be able to use scripts to obtain the totals for each labor net to add to a running total to display in the report footer; to obtain the totals for each part net to add to the running total to display in the report footer; to obtain the totals for Tax A and Tax B and add to a running total to displayin the report footer; and to add all of these to a grand total running total to also display in the report footer - which is the single line showing the total for each workorder record.
