If hosting one or more web sites on IIS prior to installing AyaNovaDP

If installing AyaNova Data Portal version 4 , do refer to the steps outlined in the (URL removed as for older version no longer supported - see the latest version of AyaNova) AyaNova v4 Help section on installing the AyaNova Data Portal - right after step #14

If installing AyaNova Data Portal version 3 , do note that the instructions in the AyaNova v3 Manual for installing and configuring AyaNovaDP assumes there are no other web sites being hosted.

If your IIS is already hosting one or one web sites prior to installing AyaNovaDP, do perform the following steps.

Determine port number that will be unique for AyaNovaDP use (for example 7878)
Configure router/firewall to forward access to this port number on the computerwhere AyaNovaDP will be installed
If internal firewall on computer where will be installing AyaNovaDP, ensure this port is specified to allow access
Via Windows Explorer create just a folder called AyaNovaDP (for example) with the exact path of C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\AyaNovaDP
In IIS Manager, right-click on Web Sites and select New web site
Enter a description of AyaNovaDP3 (for example)
Select the IP address of this computer, and enter in the port number 7878 (for example) This port number is NOT the port number used by the Default Web Site or other web sites hosted by this IIS (otherwise there will be conflicts).
Continue with web site installation pointing to that empty folder you made C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\AyaNovaDP
Be sure to leave anonymous access checkmarked otherwise will receive(401) Unauthorized error attempting to run AyaNova accessing via AyaNovaDP
Now install AyaNovaDP using the Data Portal installation file from http://www.ayanova.com/download.htm , and select the port number 7878 (that distinct port number you used when setting up the new web site)
Stop and restart IIS
Refresh
Confirm that you now see AyaNovaDP config file and bin folder and files “under” that AyaNovaDP web site you just created by viewing via Windows Explorer
Continue with the AyaNovaDP configuration - web.config edited, testing of communications etc as per the steps in the AyaNova v3 Manual on configuring the data portal
