We’ve customised the “Completed Workorder Service Detailed” template, but have found this issue in the original as well as our customised version. When we generate the report on a Workorder with numerous Labour items, the labour items are not necessarily in chronological order. I presume this maybe because someone has added an item at a later date rather than live (OK, in an ideal world all the data would be entered live, but…). However, whatever the reason we may have a report that details work on the 2nd, 15th, 17th and then jumps back to the 4th or 5th which is slightly confusing. Is there a way to specify that the labour items should be reported in chronological order based on Start Date & Time?
Yes, using the GroupFields property on the GroupHeader for the Labor band and selecting the specific datafield you want to group on. Check out these forum topics that also go over this:
