We imported some thousands of clients into our SQLdatabase some months ago. For that time it seemed a good idea to add a small detail regarding every customer as a “pop up note”, which pops up everytime you open up a quote for that said customer. But for now the information added seems irrelevant and we’d like to remove this “pop up note”, but how does one do it?
To remove the popup would require that all of the text in the Popup Notes field in the client’s entry screen be removed.
For example:

[li]Open a client’s entry screen
[/li][li]Drop down the General Notes to show the four available notes fields - General Notes, Scheduleable User Notes, Popup Notes, and Other Contacts
[/li][li]Select the Popup Notes
[/li][li]Delete all of the text in this Popup Notes field.
[/li][li]Click on the menu option Save & Exit.
[/li][li]Now when you open a service workorder for this client, no popup of notes will show.
[/li][/ul]
If you have thousands of clients that this occurs on, two suggested ways of doing this:
Delete the Popup Notes for a client as needed

[li]Whenever next you open a workorder for a client, click on that Client jump button in the workorder entry screen which will “jump” you to that client’s entry screen (see also Tips & Tricks > Jump buttons via entry screens )
[/li][li]Open a client’s entry screen
[/li][li]Drop down the General Notes to show the four available notes fields - General Notes, Scheduleable User Notes, Popup Notes, and Other Contacts
[/li][li]Select the Popup Notes
[/li][li]Delete all of the text in this Popup Notes field.
[/li][li]Click on the menu option Save & Exit.
[/li][li]Now when you next open a service workorder for this client, no popup of notes will show.

Purchase the optional add-on plug-in importexport.csv duplicate option license and use that utility to update all of your client records removing the Popup Notes text from all

[/li][li]Replacement Activation Key will be sent when payment is processed. Apply as per its instructions
[/li][li]Make a backup of your AyaNova database as per the backup steps in the online Help documentation
[/li][li]Export the client records you want edited to a file - see http://www.ayanova.com/AyaNova7webHelp/exporting_clients_into_a_csv_f.htm
[/li][li]Edit this file removing all of the popup notes text from each client record
[/li][li]Select the True option for ClientPopUpNotes as per http://www.ayanova.com/AyaNova7webHelp/import_duplicate_record_update.htm
[/li][li]Green OK to run to update your existing client records
[/li][li]Now check in your AyaNova that client records have been updated successfully
[/li][li]If not successful or a problem, you can restore from the backup you just made, and perform the steps again.
[/li][li]Once successful, then allow others back in and you are done
[/li][/ul]
