Possible solution for QuickBooks issue 0x80040300 when invoicing

A service company using AyaNova 7 and QBI encountered the following message:

Invoicing completed with some errors:
Invoice: Invoicing failed due to the following error:
Exception from HRESULT: 0x80040300"

Note that this message is NOT from AyaNova. This message is from QuickBooks.

Troubleshooting determined the issue occurred with a single workorder only and was due to a hidden invalid character attempted to be imported into the invoice through the use of Descriptive Text feature of QBI.

The hidden character may have been pasted in from a copy from a formated document such as Word or Excel or something.
