Hi We are currently on version 4 latest and greatest updates etc.
We loaded SQLserver Express and have managed to run the tomssql program and it migrated the data absolutely fine.
However I cant find ayanova.exe.mssqlversion file but did find it in an old version 3 folder
I have made the changes to the connection string and renamed it ayanova.exe.config and saved it in the ayanova folder.
Could you paste in here the detail that I need to have in the file and also is it now config.txt for v4
AyaNova 4 now has a different configuration than AyaNova 3 did. There is no longer need to create and edit AyaNova.exe.config files etc with AyaNova 4. Instead AyaNova 4 uses a single config.txt file that is to be placed in the AyaNova 4 program folder (C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova)
Make sure you are following the AyaNova 4 Help file instructions for configuring for use with SQL Express (URL removed as for older version no longer supported - see the latest version of AyaNova)
In these steps after you have installed AyaNova onto this server for initial stand-alone default use, installed SQL Express, run the Firebird to MSSQL utility, in Step #5 it identifies that you
delete the existing config.txt in the AyaNova program folder
and than copy the EXAMPLE_SQLEXPRESSconfig.txt file from the C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova/examples folder
and rename it to config.txt and edit it with your SQL Express server, username and password
Please recheck this step (and the previous steps) in (URL removed as for older version no longer supported - see the latest version of AyaNova)
If you do not have the examples folder in the the C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova folder that would mean that you did not do as per step #2 which was to install AyaNova - single computer installation with sample trial database
Do post back that you found the the EXAMPLE_SQLEXPRESSconfig.txt file from the C:\Program Files\Ground Zero Tech-Works Inc\AyaNova/examples folder, and have now done as shown in the steps in Step #5
And than you can continue to step #6 for configuring your networked computers.
